The Meisner course at The Actor's Journey starts with the most basic fundaments of the technique and builds up to the most advanced parts of the technique. We encourage prospective students to take a look at our Meisner Technique page to learn more about the technique before commencing studies with us.
The course follows typical school terms in 10 week blocks. Each term, students focus on a specific part of the technique depending on which level they are at.
Rehearse and shoot scenes regularly
Listening and responding truthfully.
Living truthfully under imaginary circumstances.
Developing believable imaginary relationships with scene partners.
Building characters with true to life traits and challenges, and living truthfully under complex imaginary circumstances and relationships.
People wanting to try acting for the first time. In fact, it can be benefitial for some students to come to this course with no previous technique training so that you can learn from the ground up.
Serious actors wanting to gain mastery in the Meisner technique.
